Little Tokyo, Los Angeles
A groundbreaking ceremony was held by Little Tokyo Service Center to begin the restoration of the historic Far East Building which once housed the Far East Cafe', the Queens Hotel, and Anzen hardware store. On this day, plans were set for a new restaurant in the Far East Cafe' space, 16 new units of affordable housing, and the DISKovery Computer Learning Center in the adjacent storefront.
