Poetry
These are thoughts, visions, memories, emotions, experiences, and imaginations conveyed thru the beauty of language. Poetry is a necessity and the essence that touches the meaning of it all...
Wataru Ebihara
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I migrated to the West Coast to end up in Southern California -- Los Angeles, the City of Angels. The inspiration for my writing originates partly from my ethnic heritage (as a 3rd-generation Japanese American), family, friends, community, and personal life, but also from interests in nature, science, and technology. I enjoy sharing my writing, and appreciate any comments.
Some of my poetry has appeared in printed form -- in the Rafu Shimpo (Memorial Day), the dISorient Journal 5 (Night Visions on Interstate 10), the Moon Rabbit Review (Reflecting on Names), and Keep It Going... Pass It On: Poetry Inspired by the Manzanar Pilgrimage (Manzanar Scorpions). My earlier work (yes, "really" old stuff) has been self-published in a book of poetry titled Tracks of a Water Molecule, and in a student publication, the Ohio State University Asian American Voice (Asian Winds, Calligraphy).
Finally, the name of this site "webpoetics" comes from my own initials "WEb" (as well as being on the Web), and "Poetic" as of course, relating to the art of poetry...
